our global focus

strathfield 9am is committed to bringing the love and message of Jesus to the world. WSCCC has a long and strong tradition of sending out it's members to serve God cross-culturally. Below are some of the past and present members of our global team.

  • Phil and Irene Nicholson have been serving with OMF in Taiwan in since 1992. Phil currently works as the Field Director, whilst Irene coordinates the short term program.
  • Lawrence and Liling Tan have been working with SIM (Serving in Mission) in rural Bolivia since 1995. They are currently back in Sydney to update their professional skills.
  • Rolf and Bonnie Lepelaar are in Cambodia with CMS where Rolf teaches at Phnom Penh Bible School (PPBS) and Bonnie oversees the Sunshine Centre.
  • Wayne and Angela Chen are with OMF in Taiwan reaching the Taiwanese working class.
  • Alex Fung was our missionary intern serving in Japan with OMF with their student ministry. He is now back studying at Sydney Missionary & Bible College in preparation for long-term service overseas.
  • Pete and Kat Lau are at work in Malaysia with OMF. Pete lectures at the Seminari Theoloji Malaysia, Seramban.
  • Bian Tan previously served in Spain for 17 years with WEC, working amongst drug addicts, prostitutes and those affected by AIDs. On return to Australia Bian worked in a rehabilitation centre in Marysville, Victoria. Sadly, in 2009 Bian Tan died during the 'Black Saturday' bushfires of 2009.
  • Jacqui Ng is working with OMF in Taiwan, reaching the Taiwanese working class.
  • Angie Shum is working with SIMaid Australia, working in international relief and development.
